Skye Berry Burress is a lifelong public servant and seasoned operations leader with over 25 years of combined experience across the public and private sectors. For the past 14 years, she has served in the Clark County Recorder’s Office, where she currently holds the position of Office Services Manager. Skye began her journey as a part-time employee and rose through the ranks through dedication, professionalism, and leadership.
In her current role, Skye oversees daily office operations, supervising deputy recorders and managing the accurate recording, indexing, and preservation of legal documents such as deeds, liens, subdivision maps, and title transfers. She works closely with department leadership to streamline workflows, support frontline staff, and ensure full compliance with Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS 247).
Every day, Skye contributes directly to the recording process, maintaining transparency, accuracy, and public accountability. She actively engages with constituents to answer questions and help them navigate the recording process with clarity and confidence.
Known for her hands-on leadership style and operational excellence, Skye believes that recording is more than a technical task—it is a legal safeguard and a matter of public trust. Her service is grounded in efficiency, transparency, and accessibility.
Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Skye relocated to Southern Nevada and quickly became an active member of the Clark County community. As a Las Vegas resident, wife, and mother, her values—honesty, integrity, fairness, and compassion—guide her commitment to ethical leadership.
Not being a career politician, Skye brings fresh ideas unshaped by partisanship or political influence. With proven experience and a track record of results, she is ready to lead the Recorder’s Office into a new era of innovation, transparency, and trust.
